Construction Contract
Why is a Construction Contract Significant?
“This is all about contracts, about construction contracts, and how to make sure that if you are about to embark on a journey of a remodel or a build, how to make sure that you're not being screwed over by the contractors, and how to make sure that your contract is all right. You want to make sure that all the right points are on the contract. The contract is detailed as possible. and you have other attachment to the contract to make sure that as a whole you are covered from points. So a contract begins with, of course, today's date and your personal information and make sure all of the information are correct, From there we need the description of the job and make sure your contractor describe the job as specific as possible. There's opportunity for too many mistakes over there. Following the description there must be a section of all the things that the contractor is not including, And then a clear timeline for the project - when will be the start, when is the project going to finish? Now generally speaking, as a contractor myself, I like to give a little bit padding on the timeline just because there's always unforeseen stuff and it's so much easier to be within the realm of safety versus having to constantly change and make an addendum to the contract to extend the timeline of the project. So give yourself a little bit of a cushion”.
